Lockheed Martin Australia supports Legacy’s 2023 Centenary Celebrations

CANBERRA, Australia, February 10, 2022: Defence technology and innovation company, Lockheed Martin Australia (LMA), has contributed $100,000 to help establish a new Legacy National Foundation as part of Legacy’s 2023 centenary celebrations.

Lockheed Martin Australia Chief Executive Warren McDonald AO, CSC acknowledged the essential work of Legacy in ensuring that the partners and children of veterans who gave their lives or health in recognised military service can fully realise their potential. “Through our work with not-for-profit organisations Lockheed Martin Australia is dedicated to supporting and improving, not only the lives of those that have served and sacrificed for our country, but the lives of their families as well,” he said.

“We are honoured to be able to help celebrate Legacy’s centennial with this endowment in the knowledge that our contribution will assist in continuing their important work supporting veterans’ families in communities throughout Australia.” 

Legacy Chief Executive Officer, Scott Warr, welcomed Lockheed Martin Australia’s support. “We truly appreciate Lockheed Martin Australia’s generous donation towards the Legacy centenary celebrations in 2023,” he said. “The contribution will aid Legacy in keeping 'The Promise' alive and empower veterans' families to build their best future.”

“To be formally launched in 2023, we envisage the Legacy National Foundation will have a dedicated focus on supporting education and leading-edge research initiatives that directly benefit veterans and their families.”
