Lockheed Martin Australia Teams with Penten to Create Cyber Framework for AIR6500

SYDNEY, Australia, 11 May 2022 – Lockheed Martin Australia has partnered with Penten, award-winning Australian cyber tech innovator, signing a contract to deliver advanced cyber security capabilities to support the Royal Australian Air Force’s AIR6500 Phase 1 Project (AIR6500-1): Competitive Evaluation Process Stage 2.

The contract will see the two companies collaborate to investigate and design a cyber security framework that supports risk reduction in the transition into the AIR6500-1 acquisition.

The cyber security technologies will focus on sovereign secure mobility, tactical communications security, cyber deception, cryptography and applied artificial intelligence and machine learning to detect, track and mitigate cyber threats. This critical work will reinforce the security of Lockheed Martin Australia’s open systems architecture program solution for AIR6500-1 to meet emerging and future operational needs of the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
